THE BASICS: In light of the armed robberies, uninhabitable residential facilities for athletes, and sewage-contaminated swimming facilities already plaguing the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympics, Paul Glastris of the Washington Post proposes that the games should be held in the same place every four years in order to combat similar problems from reoccurring in the future, whereas Megan Greenwell of Wired argues the Olympics should be held in different cities at once, allowing cities to save money and human capital by using existing venues instead of creating brand new ones.
